Built in 1895 as the Temperance Hall, the buillding has had a number of uses over the years. It's original purpose was for meetings and supporters of the Temperance Movement, who urged for reduced or prohibited use of alcoholic beverages. They typically criticised excessive alcohol use, promoted complete abstinence (teetotalism), and pressured the government to enact anti-alcohol legislation or complete prohibition of alcohol. Today the venue does include a licensed bar! There are only a small number of separate areas, so activity may include a lot of group work.
We certainly don't want to give too much away for this one but let's just say that many users of the building have said that they have felt uneasy, especially if left alone in there and for a Temperance Hall, that now has a licensed bar, well need we say any more! We have investigated previously and findings included: noises, sightings, a possible possession and a lot of very interesting information.
